The 72nd Independence Day of Sri Lanka was celebrated in Perth on the 7th of February 22020 at the Don Russel Performing Arts Centre, Thornlie. This monumental occasion which was organised in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Cultural Society WA, was graced with the presence of Hon. Consul Rosh Jalagge, Member of Parliament Mr Yaz Mubarakai MLA, representatives from all faiths, and the Sri Lankan community. At this event, the Sri Lankan Australian community and youth had the opportunity of showcasing their talents while paying tribute to Sri Lankan culture.
