An inaugural art initiative by digital artist & author Robert (Bob) Williams titled 'Toes in the Indian Ocean' is scheduled to be held through nine days during the second quarter of 2019. This unique initiative aims to provide a platform for talented artists who come from countries with shores on the Indian Ocean, to showcase their respective cultural and environmental assets in Australia. Hence, 'Toes in the Indian Ocean' hopes to provide an opportunity for Sri Lankan artists to display their work as well.
Consistent with its title and theme, this event will be held on the shores of the Indian Ocean in Perth; at the prestigious Fremantle Surf Life Saving Club at Leighton Beach. This art initiative will be a great opportunity for artists in numerous countries around the Indian Ocean and will also be a valuable tool for tourism ventures in Sri Lanka.
Honorary Consul Rosh Jalagge met with the artist Bob Williams to discuss matters regarding this initiative. The Honorary Consulate of Sri Lanka wishes Bob Williams best of luck in his upcoming venture.
