The World Peace Marathon, a charity marathon by Suresh Joachim to promote world peace, was inaugurated in Australia at the WA Parliament House on the 18th of January 2018. Suresh Joachim is a Sri Lankan born Canadian Australian who has broken over 60 world records aspires to hold the marathon over 7 continents, spanning over 5000km dedicating 270 days for it. 

Suresh Joachim was greeted by the Hon. Roger Cook MLA, Deputy Premier of Western Australia, other dignified parliamentarians and Hon. Consul Rosh Jalagge who was a special guest at the event.
