Sri Lanka’s Tourism Minister the Hon. Harin Fernando, along with the Chairman of the Tourism Promotion Bureau Mr. Chalaka Gajabahu and Tourism Brand Ambassador Sanath Jayasuriya recently visited Perth as part of their National Tourism roadshow. Honorary Consul Rosh Jalagge assisted to facilitate a meeting between the visiting Sri Lankan delegation and Western Australia’s Deputy Premier, Treasurer, Minister for Transport, Tourism- the Hon. Rita Saffioti.

The Honorary Consulate strengthened the initiative to accelerate Sri Lanka’s economic recovery by showcasing the island’s tourism attributes to operators of WA’s tourism industry, at a networking dinner held at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Perth. This grand event was attended by various stakeholders within Western Australia’s Tourism industry and was a very successful evening.
